Get Ready for the Fall Quarter Registration!
This season, go HAM for the holidays! Kirkland Arts Center (KAC) is seeking artists and makers for the 2024 edition of the Holiday Art Market.
Applications for a spot in the Holiday Art Market are due Friday, October 4. Applications received after this date will not be considered. Applications must be submitted via the electronic form linked below. When completing this form, applicants will be asked to submit 5 high resolution images (in .jpeg or .png format) that clearly show the work in its entirety. Images may also be emailed to Jeremy Hurd-McKenney at jhurd@kirklandartscenter.org. Selected makers will be notified on Friday, October 11.

Opening reception Saturday, October 12 from 5-8 pm
KAC is offering a charcoal drawing workshop in concordance with its upcoming exhibition Art at the Intersection. Led by William Hooper, professor of Anatomy & Figure Drawing at DigiPen Institute of Technology, this class will focus on drawing the human head.
The workshop runs Saturday, October 19 from 11am – 2pm. Admission is free, but participation is limited to 10 adult (18+) students, FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. Drawing materials will be provided. Previous experience with charcoal preferred, but not required.

Kirkland Arts Center seeks engaged community members to serve on its board of directors. We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about the arts and arts education, connecting with Kirkland and the surrounding area, and the preservation of an historic Kirkland building.
Successful candidates will attend monthly meetings, participate on committees, and share their individual skills and abilities with the organization. Applications are being accepted now through October 18, 2024. Terms for new board members will begin in January 2025. To be considered, complete the Board Application form. Mayor Kelli Curtis and Councilmember Amy Falcone from the City of Kirkland paid Kirkland Arts Center (KAC) a visit on March 14, 2024, at 2 pm. The tour was hosted by David Lynx, the Executive Director, Christopher Lye, the Board President, and Rob Kmiec, the Director of Education at KAC, highlighting the KAC’s educational and cultural contributions to the community.
