Why Donate to KAC’s Benefit Auction?

We hope that we can count on you as a partner in building a culturally vibrant community this year.

On Saturday, October 29th, 2016, Kirkland Arts Center will host our 8th Annual ARTbeat Benefit: 80s Thriller. This event includes a live and silent auction unlike any in the region. In addition to one-of-a-kind artwork, the silent and live auctions include travel, leisure, personal services, and unique arts experiences. In 2015, ARTbeat raised over $165,000 to support KAC’s mission to bring dynamic art experiences to the greater Seattle area.

Guest bidding on donated jewelry at the ARTbeat silent auction

This year, we celebrate the 54th Anniversary of the Kirkland Arts Center and the 124th Anniversary of our historic landmark facility. Your support will enable KAC to continue to serve the Eastside and Seattle by offering free and accessible programs for those unable to pay, plus events and exhibitions throughout the year that are open to the whole community.

Donating Artwork

Kirkland Arts Center appreciates the valuable role artists like you play in our community. There are several ways we would like to show our appreciation and have your art donation not only benefit us, but also benefit you.

  • We will continue our William Radcliffe Studio Challenge $1000 Competition, a contest open to all artwork juried into the silent or live auctions. *Note: New change this year does NOT require art to be made in the theme of the auction.
  • All our donating artists are invited to join Kirkland Arts Center’s patrons for an ARTbeat VIP Cocktail Reception from 5 PM-7 PM on October 29th at the Westin Bellevue Hotel.
  • You can choose to give 100% of the proceeds to Kirkland Arts Center or to receive a 15% commission from the sale of your work.
  • Artists selected for our live auction will receive a complimentary ticket to ARTbeat.

Donating Non-Art Items

Kirkland Arts Center appreciates the valuable role businesses and individuals like you play in our community. In return for your gift, you will receive recognition that will reach an important segment of the region’s population. The anticipated demographic for ARTbeat comes primarily from Kirkland, Bellevue, and Seattle, is between 40-65 years old, and falls into the upper 80th percentile of the area’s median household income. We expect between 275-300 guests at this year’s event and those businesses and individuals who donate will receive recognition in our auction catalog which is distributed to each guest at our event and posted online.
